WELCOME TO KIWANIS DOWN SYNDROME FOUNDATION (KDSF)
The story began in 1988, when members of the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur shared a dream — to create a place where children with Down syndrome could be nurtured, valued, and given the chance to thrive. That dream became reality on 11 September 1989 with the opening of Malaysia’s first centre for young children with Down syndrome. Housed in a rented bungalow in Petaling Jaya, it became a beacon of hope and the beginning of a journey that would transform countless lives.

With a clear mission to provide Early Intervention Programmes (EIP), KDSF focused on equipping children with the skills they needed to transition into Special Education in government schools and lead more independent lives.
