KDSF-Johor Bahru Sports and Family Day

On 24 May 2025, KDSF-JB held our annual Sports and Family Day on school grounds, kicking off with a vibrant parade, with each group proudly dressed in their respective team colours. KDSF-JB students then participated in a series of track and field events, featuring five specially designed activities tailored to the abilities of each group.

The excitement continued with family-oriented games, including fun-filled competitions for siblings, parent duos, and entire families—making it a joyful and inclusive celebration for all.

42nd Kiwanis Motor Hunt

The Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur (KCKL) is part of a global community service organisation with its headquarters in Indianapolis, USA. Since its establishment in 1976, KCKL has organized many successful fund raisers to help the community in need. The Kiwanis Motor Treasure Hunt is the club’s major fund-raising activity. The Hunt, now in its 42nd consecutive year, is a very popular annual event, attracting some 400 participants and about 80 to 100 cars during each event.

The annual Kiwanis Motor Treasure Hunt is a major fund raiser for the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation National Centre (KDSF-NC), a permanent service project of KCKL that was started in 1989. The KDSF-NC is an educational facility providing early intervention program for children with Down syndrome (aged 6 and below). The Centre has an enrolment of over 100 children with Down Syndrome and its annual operational cost is about RM 1.1 million. The Centre is now in its 36th year of operations, and it is our responsibility to ensure that we can continue to provide the crucial education program for these special children.

The 42nd Kiwanis Treasure Hunt that will be held on 26-28 July 2025, aims to raise RM400,000 from contributions in the form of event sponsorship,

cash donations, advertisements and prize contributions. We appeal for your support to make this event a success and to make a difference for those in need.
