Awareness begins with understanding, and understanding can inspire meaningful action.

Following two presentations by KDSF-NC at Sequoia International School to help students better understand Down syndrome, we were delighted to welcome 14 students and 2 teachers to paint our Celebrating the Beauty of Innocence mural on 18 October.

And their journey doesn’t stop there! On 30 October, the school will be hosting a Halloween Carnival to raise funds for KDSF-NC and support our Adopt-A-Wall project. ❤️

We are proud to be building this meaningful partnership with Sequoia International School — engaging the younger generation to embrace inclusion, raise awareness and make a positive contribution to society.

Sometimes, creating change begins with one person who cares and a desire to make a difference.

Following our mural launch on 17 October, over 10 volunteers came together under the initiative of Melanie Oh, one of our KDSF alumni parents, who adopted a section of the wall to help raise awareness about Down syndrome and contribute to a cause close to her heart.

We are truly touched by Melanie’s initiative — a beautiful reminder that awareness can start with the people around us, and that one person’s actions can inspire others to understand, accept and include. ❤️🎨

On 17 October 2026, we proudly launched Celebrating the Beauty of Innocence — a community mural created with love, hope and a shared belief that every child deserves to be seen, valued and included.

Every colour tells a story. Every brushstroke reflects the power of a community coming together to celebrate the beauty and potential of children with Down syndrome. ❤️

For 28 wonderful years, Stream Environment Sdn. Bhd. has stood alongside KDSF-NC. On 17 October, almost 30 of their team members joined us to paint our Celebrating the Beauty of Innocence mural ahead of its official launch.

It was especially meaningful to have our long-standing corporate partner join us in person, as their team picked up paintbrushes and added their personal touch to the section of the mural they had adopted. Moments like these make a lasting partnership even more special. ❤️
