KDSF-NATIONAL CENTRE BRINGING COLOUR, COMMUNITY, AND LOVE TO OUR WALLS

🎨💛 Our wall is coming to life!
This past weekend, on 20 and 21 June 2026, our KDSF-National Centre mural got a beautiful splash of colour — thanks to the incredible kids and parents from Biebobu Debbie Art House, who kicked off this special project with so much heart!

Despite the hot weather ☀️, everyone showed up with big smiles, teamwork, and lots of love — including dads joining in to celebrate Father’s Day 👨‍👧‍👦💙

A huge thank you to Debbie and Irene for coordinating it all, to Joanne and Angela for volunteering on the preparation painting work, and to Ms Yinn, our ex-parent, who generously adopted a wall and brought her children Noelle and Nathan along to paint! 🌈

Swipe through to see our wall slowly transforming — and stay tuned, this is just the beginning! ✨

👉 Want to join our next painting session? Want to support us by adopting a wall? Drop us a message — we’d love to have you!

OFFICE OF YB GOBIND SINGH DEO SUPPORTS KDSF-NATIONAL CENTRE’S “CELEBRATING THE BEAUTY OF INNOCENCE” WALL MURAL INITIATIVE

Art has the power to change hearts, and we’re about to paint a whole lot of love in KDSF-National Centre! 🎨💙💛

We are incredibly grateful to the Office of YB Gobind Singh Deo (MP for Damansara & Minister of Digital) for supporting KDSF-NC’s “Celebrating the Beauty of Innocence” Wall Mural Initiative. 🌟

Wonderful things happen when leadership meets community. A huge thank you to:
🔹 Suresh Singh Rashpal Singh (Former Senator & Coordinator, Damansara Parliamentary Service Centre) for a fantastic alignment meeting with our very own Ms. Jocelyn Lim (Board of Director of the Kiwanis Club of KL & KDSF National Centre Chairman) and Ms Lee Sook Foong, Operations Director of KDSF National Centre.
🔹 Ms. Erica (Special Officer to YB Gobind Singh Deo) for being the brilliant bridge that coordinated this meeting!

We are on a mission to build a more inclusive world that celebrates the unique abilities and joy that individuals with Down syndrome bring to our lives. Stay tuned as we bring this wall to life! 🧱✨

KDSF-NATIONAL CENTRE BRINGING OUR MURAL TO LIFE

On the 26th of May 2026, our artists, Debbie Yap and Irene Ling, with the support of Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur member Joanne Sin, were on-site today sketching the initial outlines for the mural at KDSF National Centre. These early sketches form the foundation for a vibrant artwork that will transform the space while celebrating creativity, inclusion, and community spirit.

We look forward to sharing more progress as the mural takes shape.

Expanding Opportunities: Sensory Room Installed at KDSF Melaka Centre

We’re delighted to share another exciting milestone in our sensory room project!

On 4 June 2026, the team from Nozig Inclusive successfully completed the installation of the sensory room at KDSF Melaka Centre.

The new sensory room provides children with Down Syndrome a dedicated therapeutic space designed to support sensory regulation, improve focus, encourage exploration, and create positive learning experiences through carefully selected sensory equipment.

This marks another important step in extending the benefits of sensory-based intervention to more KDSF students beyond our National Centre.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Star Foundation for making this project possible through the Star Social Impact Grant (SSIG). Their generous support continues to help us provide more inclusive learning environments and better developmental opportunities for children with Down Syndrome.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to Nozig Inclusive for ensuring every installation is completed with great care and professionalism.

We look forward to seeing many meaningful moments unfold in this new sensory space!
